Penny Girl

penny_0When she was just six years old Jeneece Edroff started a penny drive to support Variety – The Children’s Charity in British Columbia. She collected $164. She had only just begun.

The next year she recruited a television news person to help her. Over the next six years she raised $200,000 for Variety to help kids with disabilities. Jeneece has health challenges of her own but that hasn’t stopped her enthusiasm for helping others. She has a condition called neurofibromatosis (pronounced ner-o-fy-broe-ma-toe-sis) which affects her spine

Air Canada is big on helping Canadians in communities all across our vast land and the airline company supports Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic Teams too.

Denis Vandal is a Director at Air Canada and says: “As the official airline of the Canadian Paralympic Team, it’s a great privilege to be part of the success they bring back to Canada. It’s so great to be able to celebrate with them.”

Fueling Dreams

Suncor Energy is the proud owner of Petro-Canada – Canada’s Gas Station – and is helping athletes, coaches and their families across Canada realize their dreams. Petro-Canada is a big supporter of Canada’s Paralympic athletes, and athletes who are training to be Paralympic athletes in the future. With grants (money), trophies and programs like the Paralympic Equipment Fund, which has helped younger athletes access the special equipment they may need to get involved in parasport, Petro-Canada fuels their dreams.
